The El Paso Diablos came into the game looking to earn a split in the series against Fort Worth and the Diablos had their opportunities in the game as the victory was in their grasp, but mental mistakes on the base paths ended their hopes as they fell 4-3 Friday night at LaGrave Field.

The El Paso Diablos were on top of the Cats 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, but Fort Worth responded as they scored the last eight runs of the game including five in the seventh inning to give them a 11-4 victory Thursday night at LaGrave Field.

The Diablos headed into Wednesday’s game on a three game losing streak with seven games left in the season and starting pitcher Scott Hodsdon continued his pitching performance as he threw his third complete game as the Diablos won 6-1 at LaGrave Field.

The El Paso Diablos were looking to end their two-game losing streak as they headed to Fort Worth to take on the Cats who had lost their last three games, but Fort Worth scored early and often as they blew by the Diablos 12-3 Tuesday night at LaGrave Field.

El Paso, TX – The El Paso Diablos were looking to earn sweeps in back-to-back series for the first time this season, but Fort Worth spoiled the attempt by jumping out to another lead, one they did not relinquish as they dropped the Diablos 9-6 Sunday night at Cohen Stadium.

For the second consecutive game the Diablos trailed entering the final innings, but once again El Paso’s offense was able to put up crooked numbers as they scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth to seal their 11-9 comeback win against Fort Worth Saturday night at Cohen Stadium.

The Diablos did not receive a solid outing from starting pitcher Reymond Cruz as he left after the score was 7-2, but El Paso scored 12 unanswered runs off of Fort Worth pitchers to claim their fifth straight win as they won 14-7 Friday night at Cohen Stadium.

The El Paso Diablos looked to avoid getting swept for the second consecutive series as they sent Reymond Cruz to the mound and as close as the first two games of this series were this one was no different as the Diablos clung on for a 2-0 victory Saturday night at LaGrave Field.

The El Paso Diablos led 1-0 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, but Fort Worth scored four runs in the inning to take a 4-1 lead. El Paso came back in the bottom of the ninth to put two runs on the board to cut the deficit to one, but left the tying run on second to fall 4-3 to the Cats on Friday night at LaGrave Field.

The El Paso Diablos led 9-5 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, but the bullpen for the El Paso allowed five runs including the game winning walk-off hit by Kelly Gulledge to give the Cats a thrilling 10-9 comeback victory Thursday night at LaGrave Field.
