The El Paso Diablos entered Tuesday's game with the highest team batting average in the league, and did not disappoint the 4,000 plus fans in attendance at Cohen Stadium, pounding out 17 hits in a 16-8 victory over the Grand Prairie Airhogs.

Welington Dotel's bases loaded infield single scored Maikol Gonzalez in the bottom of the tenth inning and gave the Diablos a three-game sweep of the division rival Amarillo Sox and a four-game winning streak heading into an off day Monday.

Luis Chirinos (1-0) pitched eight brilliant innings in his El Paso debut, holding the visiting Amarillo Sox to one run and four hits as the Diablos won their third straight game by a final score of 6-1.

Mitch Einertson hit a game-tying, two-run home run off Chase Johnson in the bottom of the ninth inning at Cohen Stadium to send the Diablos contest against the Amarillo Sox to extra innings, where Jordan Marks delievered a game-winning hit in the 12th.

The Diablos used a potent offensive attack and strong work from their bullpen to beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs by a final score of 8-6, taking two out of three in the road series and winning their third straight three game set.

The Diablos and Grand Prairie Air Hogs combined for six home runs (three each) but it was the home town Hogs that had the last laugh, scoring a run in the bottom of the ninth on David Thomas' RBI single to beat El Paso 7-6.

Reyes Dorado pitched six scoreless innings and Jonathan Cisneros homered in a 2-0 Diablos victory over the Grand Prairie Air Hogs at QuikTrip Park. The win was the first of the season for El Paso at the home of the first place Air Hogs.

The Diablos and Saltdogs combined for 40 hits and 35 runs on a night when neither team could seem to get the other out. However, it was the Diablos that came out on top, rallying from a run down in both the ninth and tenth innings to win by a final of 18-17.

After having a rally fall just short the previous evening, the Diablos made sure to complete the comeback on Saturday, scoring six runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Lincoln Saltdogs 9-8.

The Diablos scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to turn an 8-4 game into a 8-7 nail biter, but Welington Dotel was called out on a play at the plate to end the game and give the visiting Lincoln Saltdogs a victory in game one of a three game series.
