HODSDON EARNS PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD
EL PASO, TX – The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced today that El Paso Diablos RHP Scott Hodsdon has been named the Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for August. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.
Hodsdon went 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA in six starts, including three complete games and one shutout. In 46 2/3 innings pitched, he allowed 10 earned runs on 52 hits with 31 strikeouts and only six walks. Hodsdon finished the season with a 5-6 record and a 4.61 ERA.
The resident of Glendora, CA was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the sixth round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft. Hodsdon pitched the past four plus seasons with Oakland before joining the Diablos.
