Cohen Stadium will host El Paso Santos Soccer as a part of a new league. The Pecos Soccer League will play its inaugural 2012 season with the following teams: Hatch Chile Kickers, Alamogordo Stealth, El Paso Santos, Roswell Aliens and Juarez Juventus.

The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced today that the contract of El Paso Diablos Infielder Maikol Gonzalez has been purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The El Paso Diablos have acquired Kelley Gulledge, 32, for their 2012 season with a first overall pick in the league dispersal draft. The Arlington, Tx native and catcher is no stranger to El Paso. After 4 seasons of visiting Cohen Stadium with the Fort Worth Cats, Gulledge will be making the jump to the home dugout.

The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced today that El Paso Diablos RHP Scott Hodsdon has been named the Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for August. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.

The El Paso Diablos were coming off a controversial loss and were looking for a split in the series. The Diablos came out swinging as they scored five runs in the first inning en route to a 14-2 victory Tuesday night at Cohen Stadium.
